Brian Kreischer appointed Interim Chair of Baker Tilly International
Baker Tilly International, one of the world’s largest accountancy and business advisory networks, today announced the appointment of Brian Kreischer as Interim Chair of its International Board of Directors.
Kreischer is Managing Partner of Frank, Rimerman + Co (Frank, Rimerman), a top 10 accounting firm in California and a top 50 accounting firm within the United States. He has been serving the clients and staff of Frank, Rimerman, in many capacities, for over 30 years, with a focus on facilitating the strategic direction of the firm and building a culture known for ensuring its people can flourish and make an impact. Kreischer has served on the Baker Tilly International Board of Directors for eight years and in that time, along with several member firms, has been instrumental in shaping the network’s strategic direction.
Speaking on the appointment, Francesca Lagerberg, Baker Tilly International CEO, said: “As Managing Partner of Frank, Rimerman, Brian brings experienced leadership and a genuine understanding of the needs of our members and their clients, in particular the need to align expertise with clients’ evolving needs.
“Having served on various governance committees to contribute to their leadership and vitality, the diversity of thought and leadership that Brian brings to the role of Interim Chair is vital to our strategy as we address rapidly changing market environments and client needs through collective action.”
“It is an honour to work with Baker Tilly International’s leadership and our members,” Kreischer said.
“The broad range of business skills, excellence and cultural diversity that exist within our network represent what is great about Baker Tilly.
“The network has a bold strategy designed to match the accelerated pace of change happening in business around the globe. We are united in our commitment to building a bold tomorrow for our clients and in our commitment to amplifying talent.”
Kreischer’s term as Interim Chair is effective immediately. He succeeds Alan Whitman who stepped down as the network’s Chair last month having served a three-year term.
Whitman was instrumental in many of the drivers behind the network’s growth during his chairmanship, which culminated last month in the network climbing the global rankings to become the world’s 9th largest network (Source: International Accounting Bulletin World Survey 2023).
Speaking on Whitman’s departure, Lagerberg commented: “I would like to thank Alan for his many years of dedicated service to our network. We are grateful for his leadership and wish him the best in his next endeavours.”
The process for selecting and appointing a permanent Chair has commenced. An announcement is expected by the end of 2023.
